nowadays if you want a socket you need to go for something like the Clevo W650KK1, it's a 15.6" laptop with a GTX 1050Ti and a FULL DESKTOP SOCKET that fits LGA1151 chips. Pretty impressive in my opinion.my EliteBook 2570p for example is a 12.5" laptop with one of these sockets and I can drop in a quad-core, it's amazing.
